Why did the patch turn black?

The product arrived quickly and was easy to use. The patches stayed on for 6-7 hours, and each morning they were black and sticky, but washed off easily. I’m curious if the color change is truly from toxins or just moisture from my feet. While I don’t feel any noticeable effects yet, I plan to keep trying. I also noticed that bamboo vinegar, a common ingredient in these, is in other detox pads as well. I might look into its properties further.

Let’s be honest

I initially bought these and then read online that the “muck” is just a reaction between the heat from your foot and the ingredients in the plaster. While that’s true, I used the pad on my kidney area (where I often experience pain), and when I removed it, there was a white, chalky paste on it. I’m not sure what that means, but for the first time in months, the area around my kidneys didn’t hurt. So, while it might be just a heat reaction, it did help me feel better. Whether it's a placebo or not, I’m calling it a win.

These pads are no better than the cheap alternatives I’ve tried. I only bought them out of curiosity to see if they were any different from the ones I’ve used from Shein, but they perform the same. These pads are much stickier, though, and harder to peel off. They’re also bigger, but I don’t see the point—maybe they’re better suited for men’s feet. While the product is good, it's overpriced. I didn’t use them for pain relief, just for detox, and I do believe they help with that, but I didn’t focus on pain relief at the time.

A week before the expiration date

These foot detox pads wouldn’t stick to the bottoms of my well-washed and dried feet. I even tried wearing small socks to hold them in place overnight, but that didn’t work either. All I ended up with was a thin black line around the outer edge of the pad. I tried taping them at the front, back, and middle, but they still didn’t stay on. The tape caused some skin irritation, and the pads barely stuck. I wouldn’t have bought these if I knew they were only a week from their expiration date. With other issues going on, I didn’t have time to return them. The first pair came off and tried to detox the bedding, the second pair wrinkled up inside my socks, and the third one lifted between the tape. Maybe my feet just reject these pads. They ended up in the trash.

The scent was too strong. I was hoping they would help me sleep better, but after using them for four nights, the black residue on the pads hasn’t lightened, and I’m still waking up every couple of hours.
